BURTON Fish 3D black/brown snowboard
The BURTON Fish 3D black/brown snowboard is a directional powder specialist that blends the iconic Fish shape with 3D convex shaping in the tip and tail to deliver effortless float, surf-style slashes, and precise control on the deepest days.
Who this board is for
This board targets expert riders who live for storm cycles, secret stashes, and days when it never stops nuking. It suits freeriders who already have an all-mountain deck and want a dedicated pow tool that feels nimble in tight trees yet stable when you open it up in open bowls.
Shape & geometry
The Fish 3D uses a directional shape with a longer nose, 30 mm of taper, and a double swallowtail to naturally sink the back of the board and keep the nose planing high in soft snow. Reduced overall length compared to a traditional freeride board keeps it quick edge to edge and easy to pivot in technical lines, while the 3D convex zones in the tip and tail loosen up the contact points for a smooth, catch-free feel.
Core construction, camber & flex
A Super Fly II 700G wood core with Dualzone EGD provides a strong, lively platform with confident edge hold, backed up by 45° Carbon Highlights fiberglass for tuned torsional response. The Directional Flat Top bend combines a flat profile with a rockered nose, giving stable support underfoot with automatic float in powder. Directional flex loads extra pop into the tail and keeps the nose more compliant, so you can drive powerful turns while still smearing and slashing at will.
If you want a purpose-built board for deep powder that rides short, fast, and surfy, the Burton Fish 3D belongs in your quiver.
