SPECIALIZED Propero 4 Cycling Helmet – Green

The Propero 4 is where Specialized puts its S-Works thinking into a helmet most people can actually buy. The brand describes it as the aerodynamics of the S-Works Evade 3 combined with the ventilation of the S-Works Prevail 3, and quotes it as four watts — 15 seconds over 40 km at 45 km/h — faster than the Prevail 3 itself. You give up some weight and the Air Node system, but very little speed.

• Specialized quotes four watts, or 15 seconds over 40 km at 45 km/h, faster than the S-Works Prevail 3, from CFD and Win Tunnel testing
• Large rear vents inspired by the Prevail 3, with 2 mm offset micro-channels that keep air moving through the shell
• Mips Evolve: a low-friction layer sliding 10–15 mm in any direction to shed rotational forces
• FS3 Fit System with Occipital Base Adjustment and an adjustable Tri-Fix web splitter; helmet angle adjusts for glasses
